Ralf Pönitzsch

Ralf Pönitzsch is a GDR middle-distance runner, born on October 20, 1957. He competes primarily in the 1500m, 3000m and 5000m.

His personal bests include 3:38.72 in the 1500m, 7:54.4h in the 3000m, 13:26.88 in the 5000m, 8:23.14 in the 3000mSt and 5:31.4h in the 2000Metres. He has earned 1 silver medal in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing GDR.
