Aron Rono

Aron Rono is a Kenyan-American long-distance runner born on November 1, 1982, in Eldoret, Kenya. After completing high school in Kenya, he moved to the United States and graduated with a degree in political science from Azusa Pacific University in 2009.

As a member of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program, Rono won a silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2015 Pan American Games. His background growing up in Kenya's running heartland of Eldoret provided an ideal foundation for distance running success.
