Irena Szewińska

Irena Szewińska is a Poland sprinter, born on May 24, 1946 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Standing 1.76 m and weighing 60 kg, She competes primarily in the 100m, 200m and 400m.

Her personal bests include 11.13 in the 100m, 22.21 in the 200m, 49.29 in the 400m, 56.62 in the 400mH and 43.48 in the 4x100m. She has earned 15 gold, 6 silver and 13 bronze medals in major international competitions. She is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Poland.
