Vladislav Piskunov

Vladyslav Piskunov is a former Ukrainian hammer thrower born on June 7, 1978, in Nova Kakhovka, Kherson. His career was marked by significant achievements but also controversy related to doping violations.

Piskunov originally won gold at the 1994 World Junior Championships but was later disqualified after failing a drugs test. At the 2005 World Championships, he failed another test and subsequently received a lifetime ban from the sport.

His personal best throw of 82.23 metres was achieved in April 2002 in Koncha-Zaspa, demonstrating the world-class potential he possessed before his career ended due to anti-doping rule violations.
