Pavel Andreyev

Pavel Andreev is an Uzbekistani decathlete born on November 24, 1978, in Tashkent. Standing 196 cm and weighing 94 kg, he is a two-time Olympian and three-time medalist in the decathlon at the Asian Athletics Championships.

Andreev competed at the 2004 Athens Olympics but did not finish after failing to attain a mark in the long jump. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he competed alongside compatriot Vitaliy Smirnov but again did not finish after pulling up in the 400 metres.

Despite his Olympic setbacks, Andreev's three Asian Championships medals demonstrate his regional dominance in the demanding ten-event competition. The decathlon requires proficiency across sprints, jumps, throws, and endurance events, making it one of track and field's ultimate tests of athletic versatility.
