Christina Obergföll

Christina Obergfoll is a retired German track and field athlete who specialized in the javelin throw. Born on 22 August 1981 in Lahr/Schwarzwald, Germany, she rose through the ranks to become one of the finest javelin throwers of her generation on the international stage.

Obergfoll reached the pinnacle of her career in 2013 when she became World Champion in the javelin throw, claiming the title at the highest level of global competition. Her personal best throw of 70.20 metres stands as the German national record and ranks her fifth on the all-time list for the women's javelin throw.
