Koji Murofushi

Koji Murofushi is a Japanese former hammer thrower and sports scientist, born on 8 October 1974 in Numazu, Japan.

He established himself among the world elite at the 2001 World Championships, where he won the silver medal, and went on to become the 2004 Olympic champion.

Murofushi reached the pinnacle of his career by claiming the World Championship title in 2011, cementing his status as one of the finest hammer throwers in history. His longevity at the top level of the sport, spanning more than a decade of world-class competition, remains a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication.
