Kasey Knevelbaard

Kasey Knevelbaard is an American middle and long-distance runner born on September 2, 1996. He competes for Under Armour Dark Sky Distance, a professional training group based in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Knevelbaard won the gold medal in the 5000 metres at the 2023 Pan American Games, claiming the continental title. He competed collegiately for Southern Utah from 2015 to 2019 before transferring to Florida State as a graduate student, completing his MS in Sports Management in 2021. He then signed with Under Armour to continue his professional career.

As a Pan American Games champion training at altitude in Flagstaff, Knevelbaard has established himself among America's top distance runners. His gold medal at the continental championships and professional contract reflect his development from collegiate athlete to elite competitor.
