James Gilkes

James Gilkes is a Guyana sprinter, born on September 21, 1952 in British Guiana, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. He competes primarily in the 100m, 200m and 400m.

His personal bests include 10.1h in the 100m, 20.14 in the 200m, 46.02 in the 400m, 39.59 in the 4x100m and 1:20.23 in the 4x200Metre. He has earned 3 gold and 2 silver medals in major international competitions. He is currently active on the international athletics circuit, representing Guyana.
