Andriy Semenov

Andriy Semenov is a Ukrainian shot putter born on July 4, 1984, in Orhei, Moldova. Standing 204 cm tall and weighing 117 kg, he is based in Odessa and has represented Ukraine at the Olympic Games.

Semenov competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where his throw of 20.01 metres fell just 1 centimetre short of the final. He also competed at the 2012 London Olympics. He finished fourth at the 2001 World Youth Championships.

His personal best of 20.63 metres was achieved in August 2011 in Donetsk. In 2019, he received a 2-year doping ban following re-testing from the 2011 World Championships, with results from August 2011 to August 2013 disqualified.
