Dakotah Marie Popehn is an American professional long-distance runner born on May 1, 1995, in St. Francis. She competes for Minnesota Distance Elite and is sponsored by Puma, specializing in marathon and road racing events.

Popehn gained widespread acclaim after winning back-to-back victories at Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota in 2021 and 2022. Her 2022 victory made her the 12th fastest U.S. women's marathoner of all time, and she qualified to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

As an Olympic marathoner and one of the fastest American women in the event's history, Popehn has established herself among the elite of U.S. distance running.
