Vitaliy Sidorov

Vitaliy Sidorov is a retired discus thrower born on March 23, 1970, in Khichauri, Georgian SSR. Standing 195 cm and weighing 130 kg, he represented Ukraine at the 1996 Olympics and Russia at the 2000 Olympics after changing nationality in February 2000.

Sidorov set his personal best of 67.90 metres on May 3, 1998, in Kyiv. He also competed in the shot put, demonstrating versatility in throwing events.

His dual national career reflects the transitions many athletes from former Soviet republics underwent during that period, competing at the highest level for two different countries at consecutive Olympic Games.
