Chen Tien-wen is a retired Taiwanese athlete born on June 1, 1978, who competed primarily in the 200 metres and 400 metres hurdles. He holds the national record in both events, establishing himself as one of Taiwan's greatest sprinters and hurdlers.

Chen represented Taiwan at three consecutive World Championships starting in 1999, as well as the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. His crowning achievement came at the 2001 East Asian Games, where he won the gold medal. He also captured bronze medals at the Asian Games, Summer Universiade, and Asian Athletics Championships.

His versatility across sprinting and hurdling disciplines made him a standout performer in Asian athletics during his competitive years. Chen's national records remain a testament to his exceptional speed and technical ability.
