Robert Cannon

Robert Willis Cannon is an American triple jumper born on July 9, 1958. Standing 185 cm tall and weighing 76 kg, he competed at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in the men's triple jump.

Cannon won the 1979 triple jump at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships while competing for the Indiana Hoosiers. He finished second behind Willie Banks at the 1985 British AAA Championships. Remarkably, at age 36 on May 9, 1995, he jumped 15.96 metres to win the Dan Aldrich Masters Meet.

His longevity in the sport, continuing to compete at a high level into his late thirties, demonstrated his exceptional technical ability and dedication to the triple jump.
