
Helena Fibingerová
Helena Fibingerova is a Czech shot putter, born on 13 July 1949 in Vicemerice, in the Olomouc Region. Standing 179 cm tall and weighing 95 kg, she was a formidable competitor who became one of the most successful athletes in the history of Czech shot putting.
Fibingerova's career was highlighted by a World Championship gold medal in 1983, making her the World champion in the shot put. She also won an Olympic bronze medal at the 1976 Games in Montreal, demonstrating her ability to perform on the biggest stages in athletics.
Over the course of her career, Fibingerova set three world records in the shot put, further cementing her legacy as one of the leading throwers of her era. Her combination of a World Championship title, an Olympic medal, and multiple world records places her among the all-time greats of the event.
