Thando Dlodlo
Thandolwenkosi Dlodlo is a South African sprinter born on April 22, 1999. He showed considerable talent early in his career, running 10.08 seconds in Trieste in July 2019 and winning a bronze medal in the 4x100 metres relay at the African Games in Rabat.
Dlodlo's career was significantly impacted when he was banned retrospectively for two-and-a-half years in March 2022 after testing positive for testosterone and its related compounds. As a result, South Africa was stripped of its 4x100 metres gold medal won in Chorzow, Poland, where Dlodlo had been part of the team.
The doping violation marked a significant setback in Dlodlo's sprinting career. His case serves as a reminder of the importance of clean competition in athletics and the consequences athletes face for anti-doping rule violations.
