Natalya Lisovskaya

Natalya Lisovskaya, born July 16, 1962, in the Soviet Union, is a Russian former shot putter who competed for the Soviet Union. She is one of the most accomplished throwers in the history of women's athletics.

Lisovskaya holds the women's shot put world record, set in 1987, a mark that has stood for nearly four decades as one of the most enduring records in all of athletics. She won the gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, confirming her status as the dominant shot putter of her era.
