Nadezhda Dubovitskaya
KAZWomenNadezhda Dubovitskaya is a Kazakhstani high jumper born on March 12, 1998, in Semey. She has become the best high jumper in Asian history, holding the continental record in the event.
Dubovitskaya won a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games and has been the Asian record holder in women's high jump since June 8, 2021. Her personal best of 2.00 metres outdoors, set in Almaty in 2021, broke the previous Asian record held by her compatriot Marina Aitova since 2009 by one centimeter. Her indoor personal best is 1.98 metres, set in Belgrade in 2022.
As the Asian record holder and the first woman from the continent to clear 2.00 metres, Dubovitskaya stands as the greatest Asian high jumper in history. Her record-breaking performances have elevated Kazakhstani athletics and inspired a new generation of jumpers across the continent.
