Audience measurement without cookies

The site uses its own measurement tool, whovisits, hosted by the site owner. It stores no cookie and no IP address. For each page view it records:

• the page path, without query parameters
• the domain of the referring site
• the browser user agent
• the country, derived by Cloudflare from the connection (the IP address itself is not kept)
• the language, time zone and screen size
• technical signals used to tell humans from automated browsers, such as whether the browser is automated, whether there was scrolling or clicking, and how long the page was visible

Session identifier

A random identifier is kept in the browser sessionStorage for the duration of the tab only, to group the pages of one visit. It is erased when the tab is closed.

Use and retention

The data is used only for aggregate statistics. It is never shared or sold. Raw data is kept for 13 months at most. This measurement is exempt from consent under the CNIL guidance for audience measurement.

Other statistics tools

Umami (self-hosted at analytics.elitetrackr.com) and DataFast are also used for audience statistics.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare.
