Chang Ming-huang is a Taiwanese shot putter and former discus thrower born on August 7, 1982, in Taichung. He shifted his focus exclusively to shot put in 2006 and has trained with renowned coaches including Werner Goldmann in Berlin and Donald Babbitt in Athens, Georgia.

Chang holds the Taiwanese national record in shot put with a throw of 20.58 metres, achieved in August 2011. This performance qualified him for the 2012 London Olympic Games, where he made history by becoming only the second Asian athlete ever to reach the men's shot put final. He threw 20.25 metres in qualification and finished 12th in the final with 19.99 metres.

Beyond his competitive career, Chang serves as a throwing coach at National Taiwan University of Physical Education and Sport. He is sponsored by the Chinese Taipei Athletics Association and Taiwan's Sport Administration of the Ministry of Education, representing Taiwan's commitment to developing elite throwing athletes.
