Kenny Evans

Kenny Evans is a retired American high jumper born on April 6, 1979, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Standing 188 cm and weighing 74 kg, he achieved a personal best of 2.31 meters and finished thirteenth at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Evans won the high jump at both the 1998 and 2001 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. He was also a three-time indoor champion and outdoor winner at the Southeastern Conference Championships, establishing himself as one of the dominant collegiate high jumpers of his era. His personal best of 2.31 meters was achieved in March 2000 in Fayetteville.

Beyond his own athletic achievements, Evans's legacy extends to the next generation through his son Keenan Evans, who became a professional basketball player after starring at Texas Tech University. Kenny Evans's combination of NCAA titles and Olympic experience places him among the notable American high jumpers of the early 2000s.
