Justin Gaymon is an American former 400 metre hurdler born on December 13, 1986. He won the 2008 NACAC U23 Championship and came agonizingly close to making the U.S. Olympic team that same year.

At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, Gaymon missed qualifying for the Olympic team by just 0.04 seconds, demonstrating the razor-thin margins that separate Olympic qualifiers from those who fall short. His NACAC U23 Championship victory that year confirmed his status among the top young hurdlers in the Americas.

Gaymon's near-miss at the Olympic Trials reflects the exceptional depth of American 400 metre hurdling. The event requires a unique combination of speed, endurance, and technical skill over ten barriers, making it one of track and field's most demanding disciplines.
