Djamel Sedjati

Djamel Sedjati is an Algerian middle-distance runner born on May 3, 1999, in Tiaret, Algeria. He specializes in the 800 metres and has risen to become one of the fastest men in the history of the event, ranking as the fifth fastest of all time behind David Rudisha, Wilson Kipketer, Emmanuel Wanyonyi, and Marco Arop.

Sedjati's most notable achievement on the global championship stage came at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he won the bronze medal in the 800 metres.
