Rhonex Kipruto

Rhonex Kipruto is a Kenyan long-distance runner, born on October 12, 1999.

He previously won the bronze medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and was the 2018 World Under-20 10,000 m champion. Kipruto once held the world record for the 10 km road race and ranked third on the half marathon world all-time list.

However, his results were annulled in June 2024 after investigation revealed doping violations. He was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit in May 2023 based on athlete biological passport data, and in June 2024 he received a six-year ban from competition.
