Larry Myricks

Larry Myricks, born on March 10, 1956, is an American former track and field athlete who specialized in the long jump.

Over a career spanning more than a decade at the top level, he established himself as one of the most consistent long jumpers in the world. Myricks captured two World Indoor Championship titles in 1987 and 1989, and also won the World Cup twice, in 1979 and 1989.

On the Olympic stage, he earned a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Games. He added two more bronze medals at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991, demonstrating remarkable longevity in an event that demands both speed and technical precision.
