Kibwe Johnson is an American hammer thrower born on July 17, 1981, in San Francisco, California. He has represented the United States at three World Championships and two Olympic Games, becoming the first American to make the Olympic final since 1996 at the 2012 London Games.

Johnson is a three-time Pan American Games medalist, winning silver in 2007 and gold in both 2011, where he broke the Games record, and 2015. His personal best of 80.31 metres was achieved in 2011, the year he won the USA Outdoor Championship. He was also the 2008 USA Indoor Champion in the weight throw with the second-best mark in U.S. history.

At the 2012 Olympics, Johnson finished ninth in the final, and he competed again at the 2016 Rio Games. His consistency at international competitions has made him one of America's most successful hammer throwers of his generation.
