Deon Minor

Deon Minor is an American former sprinter born on January 22, 1973, in Paris, Texas. He specialized in the 400 metres and achieved exceptional success as a relay runner at the World Indoor Championships.

Minor won two consecutive gold medals in the 4x400 metre relay at the IAAF World Indoor Championships, capturing titles in 1997 and 1999. In the latter competition, he helped the American team set a world record of 3:02.83 minutes, a testament to his speed and relay expertise.

His back-to-back World Indoor Championships gold medals and world record performance established Minor as one of the premier relay runners of his era. The ability to perform consistently at championship level in the high-pressure environment of relay racing defined his international career.
