Dayron Robles is a Cuban track and field athlete who specializes in the 110 metre hurdles. He reached the pinnacle of his event in 2008 when he set a world record of 12.87 seconds at the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava and went on to win Olympic gold at the Beijing Games in 12.93 seconds.

Robles burst onto the international scene with a silver medal in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2006 World Indoor Championships. He became the Central American and Caribbean Games champion that same year and won Pan American gold in 2007, where he also set a meet record of 12.92 seconds at the IAAF World Athletics Final. After injury sidelined him for much of 2009, he returned strongly with a championship record victory at the 2010 World Indoor Championships.

At the 2011 World Championships, Robles was disqualified from the 110 m hurdles final for obstruction, a controversial conclusion to what had been one of the most exciting hurdling careers of his generation.
