David Patrick is an American retired hurdler born on June 12, 1960, in Centralia, Illinois. Standing 183 cm and weighing 72 kg, he specialized in the 400 metres hurdles and competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, finishing second among Americans in a final won by Kevin Young in world record time.

Patrick won two NCAA titles at the University of Tennessee, taking the 880 yards indoor and 400 metre hurdles. His personal best of 47.75 seconds ranks him 22nd all-time in the event. He famously missed the 1988 Olympic team by just 0.03 seconds in a stacked final featuring Andre Phillips, Edwin Moses, Kevin Young, and Danny Harris.

Patrick is married to Sandra Farmer-Patrick, also an elite 400-metre hurdler. In 1989, they became the first husband and wife to win gold in the same event at an international championship, both claiming victory at the IAAF World Cup in Barcelona. They also both won national championships that year, a feat not accomplished since the Connollys in 1960.
