Anthony Washington

Anthony Washington is an American former discus thrower born on January 16, 1966, in Glasgow, Kentucky. Standing 186 cm and weighing 109 kg, he competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics and won the gold medal at the 1999 World Championships in Seville.

Washington attended Syracuse University, graduating in 1990, where he was part of the men's track and field team. His personal best of 71.14 metres in the discus ranks among the finest throws in American history. He also achieved 59.58 metres in the hammer throw, demonstrating throwing versatility.
