Amarilys Alméstica

Amarilys Alméstica Rivera (February 12, 1981 – October 5, 2024) was a hammer thrower from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

She set her personal best throw (66.57 metres) on July 3, 2006, at a meet in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Alméstica died on October 5, 2024, at the age of 43. Their athletic achievements and dedication to the sport have made them a notable figure in track and field history. Throughout their career, they demonstrated the dedication and athletic excellence that defines elite competitors in the sport of track and field.
