Kevin Lyles is an American former sprinter born on July 23, 1973, in Irvington, New Jersey. He specialized in the 400 metres and achieved his personal best of 45.01 seconds in 1995, ranking him 15th in the world that season. Lyles competed collegiately for Seton Hall University.

Lyles won gold medals with the United States in the 4x400 metre relay at the 1993 Summer Universiade and the 1995 World Championships in Athletics, where he served as an alternate runner in the heats. At Seton Hall, he was named the 1993 Big East Indoor Championship's Most Outstanding Track Performer, while placing sixth in the 400m at the 1995 USA Outdoor Championships.

His athletic legacy extends beyond his own achievements. Lyles married Seton Hall track athlete Keisha Bishop, and together they raised two sons who became world-class sprinters: Noah Lyles, the 100m and 200m World Champion, and Josephus Lyles, the 2014 World Junior Champion. Kevin's influence on American sprinting continues through his remarkable sons.
