Armand "Mondo" Duplantis is a Swedish-American pole vaulter, born on November 10, 1999, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Widely regarded as the greatest pole vaulter of all time, he competes for Sweden and holds the world record at 6.30 m. He is the winner of eight senior global titles, including two Olympic gold medals (2020 and 2024), three World outdoor titles (2022, 2023, and 2025), and three World indoor titles (2022, 2024, and 2025).

Duplantis began winning on the world stage as a teenager, claiming the 2015 World Youth Championships title at age 15 before adding the 2018 World U20 title and three European Championships golds (2018, 2022, 2024). He has set 14 world records, single-handedly raising the bar from 6.17 m in 2020 to 6.30 m in 2025, including a 6.25 m clearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics. A four-time World Athlete of the Year (2020, 2022, 2023, 2025) and Laureus World Sportsman of the Year in 2025, he has also won five consecutive Diamond League titles from 2021 to 2025.

Duplantis has cleared six metres or higher in 79 competitions across eight consecutive seasons since 2018, more than any athlete in history. He is one of only three men to vault 6.10 m or above, alongside Renaud Lavillenie and Sergey Bubka, and accounts for 34 of the 46 competitions in which that height has been cleared.
