Amber Anning is an English sprinter born on November 18, 2000, in London. She is a double Olympic medalist and the 2025 World Athletics Indoor champion over 400 metres, holding the British records for 400 metres outdoors and 200 metres indoors.
Anning set the British 400 metres record of 49.29 seconds when finishing fifth at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She won two bronze medals at those Games in the women's 4x400 metres relay and mixed 4x400 metres relay. Her journey includes medals at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games, 2019 European U20 Championships, 2019 European Indoor Championships, and 2023 World Championships. She competed collegiately for LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks.
