Seneca Lassiter

Seneca Lassiter is an American former middle-distance runner born on March 12, 1977, in Williamsburg, Virginia. He specialized in the 1500 metres and achieved success at both the scholastic and collegiate levels.

As a high schooler at Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Lassiter won National Scholastic indoor and outdoor championships in both the mile and 800 metres. He continued his career at the University of Arkansas, known for its prestigious track program, running alongside recruits like Sharif Karie.

After his collegiate career, Lassiter ran professionally for Nike. His progression from high school champion to professional runner exemplifies the development pathway for American middle-distance talent.
