John Godina

John Godina is a retired American shot putter born on May 31, 1972, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Standing 193 cm and weighing 129 kg, he won three World Championship titles and two Olympic medals during his career.

Godina dominated the shot put in the late 1990s and early 2000s, capturing World Championship gold medals that established him as one of his era's premier throwers. His Olympic medal performances demonstrated his ability to compete at the highest level on the world's biggest stage. He also competed successfully in the discus throw.
