Ian Morris is a retired track and field athlete from Trinidad and Tobago born on November 30, 1961, in Siparia, who specialized in the 400 metres. Remarkably, he did not take up athletics until the age of 23 after previously playing soccer for the Siparia Angels in South Trinidad.

Morris achieved his personal best of 44.21 seconds in the 400m semifinal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, ranking him 23rd on the all-time performers list. For 24 years, this time stood as the Trinidad and Tobago national record until Machel Cedenio broke it at the 2016 Rio Olympics with 44.01 seconds. He occasionally ran the 200m and even competed in the 800m at the 1987 World Indoor Championships.

Now a member of the Siparia Rhythm Section and coach of the Siparia Athletics Club, Morris continues to contribute to athletics development in Trinidad and Tobago. His late start to the sport makes his achievements all the more remarkable.
