Dwight Phillips, born October 1, 1977, in Decatur, is a retired American long jumper and one of the most successful in the event's history.

His personal best of 8.74 meters, set in 2009, makes him the joint fifth best long jumper of all time. Phillips won four World Championship gold medals in the long jump, an unmatched feat in the event, and captured the Olympic title at the 2004 Athens Games.

He was also a capable sprinter, recording a personal best of 10.06 seconds in the 100 meters and 6.47 seconds in the 60 meters, the latter ranking among the top twenty fastest ever. Since retiring from competition, Phillips has served as a track and field ambassador at SPIRE Institute and Academy.
