Danny Everett is an American former sprinter born on November 1, 1966, in Van Alstyne, Texas. Standing 187 cm and weighing 64 kg, he specialized in the 400 metres and won Olympic gold and bronze medals as well as World Championship medals.

Everett won bronze in the 400 metres at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1991 World Championships, while earning gold in the 4x400 metres relay at both the 1987 World Championships and 1988 Olympics. His 400-metre best of 43.81 seconds, set when winning the 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials, moved him to second on the world all-time list at the time. This performance still ranks him 17th all-time and remains the track record for New Orleans.

As one of America's premier quarter-milers of his era, Everett combined individual excellence with outstanding relay contributions. His Olympic and World Championship medal collection across multiple events established him as one of the most decorated American 400-metre runners of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
