Breaux Greer

Breaux Greer is a retired American javelin thrower born on October 19, 1976, in Houston, Texas. Standing 188 cm and weighing 102 kg, he holds the American record with a throw of 91.29 metres, achieved at the 2007 USA Outdoor Championships.

After attending Ouachita Parish High School and the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Greer became an eight-time consecutive American Champion from 2000 through 2007. His American record was the best throw in the world for nearly eight years until Kenya's Julius Yego surpassed it in 2015. The mark currently ranks him 15th on the all-time world list. His coach was Finnish javelin thrower Kari Ihalainen.

Beyond athletics, Greer appeared on the second season of the 2008 television show American Gladiators, competing under the name "Hurricane." His dominance in American javelin throwing for eight consecutive years remains unmatched in the event's history.
