Angelo Taylor is an American track and field athlete born on December 29, 1978, in Albany, Georgia. Standing 188 cm and weighing 84 kg, he won the 400-metre hurdles at both the 2000 and 2008 Summer Olympics, with a personal best of 47.25 seconds ranking him joint 14th all-time.

Taylor also excels at the flat 400 metres with a best of 44.05 seconds, making him joint 29th fastest ever. He won bronze in the 400m at the 2007 World Championships and is a three-time world champion in the 4x400m relay with titles in 2007, 2009, and 2011. He earned relay gold in Beijing 2008 and silver in London 2012.

Since 2019, Taylor has been serving a ban from the United States Center for SafeSport related to criminal convictions from 2006 involving minors. His athletic achievements include competing for Georgia Tech and establishing himself as one of the greatest 400-metre hurdlers in Olympic history.
