Jamele Mason

Jamele Mason is a Puerto Rican hurdler born on October 19, 1989, in Houston, Texas. He specialized in the 400 metre hurdles and competed at the 2012 London Olympics in the event. Mason attended Texas Tech University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications.

Mason was the 2012 NCAA runner-up in the 400 metre hurdles and ranked within the top 20 in the world that season. His personal best of 48.89 seconds, run at the 2012 NCAA Championships, made him the Texas Tech school record holder and the only person in school history to break 49 seconds in the event.
