Emmanouil "Manolo" Karalis is a Greek pole vaulter born on October 20, 1999, in Chania, Greece. Standing 186 cm and weighing 82 kg, he specializes in the pole vault and has risen to become one of the premier vaulters in the world, earning membership in the exclusive six-metre club.
Karalis holds both the Greek outdoor and indoor pole vault records, with clearances of 6.08 m and 6.05 m respectively. These marks place him fourth on the all-time list for the event. In March 2025, he made history by becoming the first Greek pole vaulter to win a gold medal at the European Athletics Indoor Championships, a landmark achievement for Greek athletics.
