Ed Broxtermann

Ed Broxterman is an American retired high jumper born on November 28, 1973, in Baileyville, Kansas. He competed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and finished second at the U.S. Olympic Trials that same year.

Broxterman achieved his personal best of 2.30 metres at the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials in Atlanta. He finished second at the 1995 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a jump of 7 feet 4.5 inches. At Kansas State University, he was one of the first members of what became known as "High Jump U."

He still holds the Kansas State Class 1A long jump record at 23 feet. Broxterman currently works for Evergy in Shawnee, Kansas, continuing to contribute to his community after his athletic career.
