Andre Cason is an American former sprinter born on January 20, 1969, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Standing 170 cm tall and weighing 68 kg, he was a world record holder in the 60 metres and world champion in the relay.
Cason won gold in the 4x100m relay at the 1991 World Championships with a world record time of 37.50 seconds. In 1992, he set the 60m world indoor record three times, culminating in 6.41 seconds. He won the 1993 U.S. 100m title and silver at the 1993 World Championships in 9.92 seconds, where he also helped set and tie the 4x100m world record.
After a torn Achilles tendon at the 1992 Olympic Trials, Cason rebuilt his career. He later coached in China from 2010-2013 and has been Thailand's National Sprint Coach since 2014.
