Jerome Davis is an American former sprinter born on August 22, 1977, in Ridgecrest, California. He attended the University of Southern California, where he became a dominant force in the 400 meters, winning the Pacific-10 Conference championship four consecutive years from 1996 through 1999.

Davis achieved significant success at the NCAA level, winning the 1998 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 400 meters with a time of 45.18 seconds. He also finished third at the NCAA Championships in both 1997 and 1999, narrowly missing second place in 1999 by just two hundredths of a second. His excellence extended to international competition, where he won gold at the 1999 World University Games with a time of 44.91 seconds.

Davis was part of the USA men's 4x400 meter relay team that won gold at the 1999 World Championships. However, this victory was later vacated in 2008 when a teammate confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs during that period. Despite this disappointment, Davis's individual achievements at the collegiate and international levels established him as one of America's top quarter-milers of his era.
