
Terrence Trammell
Terrence Trammell is a retired American hurdler born on November 23, 1978, in Atlanta, Georgia. Standing 188 cm and weighing 84 kg, he won silver medals in the 110 metre hurdles at both the 2000 and 2004 Olympics and three silver medals at World Championships.
Named the 1997 Track and Field News Male High School Athlete of the Year, Trammell attended the University of South Carolina under coach Curtis Frye. He won the 1999-2000 NCAA Championship both indoors and outdoors and trained alongside Olympic gold medalist Allen Johnson until 2002. He qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics but withdrew after a hamstring injury in the preliminary rounds.
Trammell retired in 2015 and was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2021. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Pace Academy in Atlanta, where he continues his involvement in the sport after one of the most decorated hurdling careers in American history.
