Dedric Dukes
Dedric Dukes is an American sprinter and former football wide receiver born on February 4, 1992, in Miami, Florida. He attended the University of Florida, where he excelled in both sports at Booker T. Washington High School alongside future NFL players.
Dukes showed early promise by finishing fourth in the 200 metres at the 2009 World Youth Championships, despite entering as the world youth leader, and helped the U.S. medley relay squad win gold. At the 2014 Florida Relays, he ran 19.97 seconds in the 200 metres, which was a world-leading time at that point and placed him eighth on the all-time collegiate list.
His dual-sport abilities reflect the exceptional athleticism found among America's top sprinters. Dukes's sub-20-second 200 metres performance during his collegiate career demonstrated the explosive speed that made him competitive at both track and football.
