Patsapong Amsam-Ang

Patsapong Amsam-ang is a Thai pole vaulter born on October 2, 1997, in Ratchaburi. He specializes in the pole vault and has become the greatest vaulter in Thai athletics history, holding both national records.

Amsam-ang won a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, demonstrating his ability to compete at the continental level. His personal best of 5.70 metres outdoors, set in Bangkok in 2025, and 5.35 metres indoors, set in Astana in 2023, are both current Thai national records.

As Thailand's national record holder in both indoor and outdoor pole vault, Amsam-ang has elevated the event in his country to new heights. His Asian Games medal and record-breaking performances have established him as a pioneer for Thai athletics on the international stage.
