James Carter

James Carter is an American 400m hurdler born on May 7, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland. Standing 185 cm tall and weighing 77 kg, his personal best of 47.43 seconds ranks him as the 15th fastest ever in the world and 9th fastest American.

Carter won silver at the 2005 World Championships when he set his personal best. He was a three-time U.S. champion in 2002, 2004, and 2007, and won the 2002 IAAF World Cup. He finished fourth in the Olympic finals in both 2000 and 2004.

His consistent performances at major championships and multiple national titles established him as one of America's premier 400m hurdlers during the 2000s.
